A CMP is a platform that can be used by the publishers for requesting, receiving and storing users’ consent; for storing the list of preferred vendors along with why they’ve been collecting the users’ information; and for updating the collected consents (if a user triggered the action). Numerous Consent Management Platform (CMP) solutions exist on the market enabling you to manage how you gather consent. They may have differing functional logic and may or may not be tied to a Tag Management System (TMS).
