CPM

Glossary

CPM

In the context of (display) advertising on the Internet, “cost per mille” (CPM), or cost per thousand impressions, is the main pricing model for the sale of advertising space.

An advertiser pays the price of an advertising space expressed per one thousand impressions (CPM). An impression is a page view containing an advertisement.

CPM is equally used for comparing the prices of different formats or media on the same platform.
