Glossary
Direct traffic
Direct traffic includes traffic from users who have entered a website URL directly into their browser search bar.
Direct traffic also includes traffic from users who arrive on a site via their bookmarks or favourites. We also consider visits coming from non-indexed documents (documents not present in search engine results) as direct traffic, as well as visits generated by clicks on email links when the email is opened using email software (such as Outlook).
